Boho Heritage Organisation’s (BIG) Book, A Treasure Trove of History and Lore went to production in 2009.
It was the first of the big book projects that I designed and worked on after starting my own business and really had a positive effect on my business, catapulting me into the limelight with other similar organisations who wanted similar publications produced.
The book is casebound, A4, 240 bespoke design pages (no two are the same) with a stunning oversized dust cover and golden ribbon on the inside for keeping ones place. It’s a fantastic publication.
The book charts the history, local interest and people who live and have lived in Boho, County Fermanagh, and is structured around the area’s townlands.
I worked with Boho Heritage on the design of their book and also acted as a go between with the editorial committee and the printer, discussing paper stock and other print finishing options such as the inclusion of a ribbon and dust cover within the publication.
The resulting book was a publication that the Boho community could feel proud of, and set the style and level of quality for three more Boho Heritage Newsletters which I designed and created.
A fantastic publication produced by a fantastic and extremely proactive community organisation.
